1Dum Laga Ke Haisha

Dum Laga Ke Haisha

When you love someone, their looks or the way they look doesn’t matter much. True love is accepting a person the way she/he is and making no judgments about the person. We have seen so many couples and would have passed judgments on the way they look and the way they behave. Well, this movie perfectly portrays that you shouldn’t judge a person without knowing their full story and love is true. So, whether others like it or not, the love that brought them together is something that is a hundred percent true and that they have done everything in their power to work for it. Someone once said that ‘Love is all about just love and size doesn’t matter at all’.

2Piku

Piku

Family is everything and you cannot escape the love from them. Piku taught us that family, no matter what, is very important. As you grow old, you need the support of your parents and the same implies to them as well. They need your support when they grow old too. This bond can never get old of age. In fact, it only makes it stronger and redevelops itself by maturity and time. It taught us that love and care for parents is an ongoing process and can/should never stop.

3Tanu Weds Manu Returns

Tanu Weds Manu Returns

Love is a medicine for everything and how much ever you try to run away from true love, it will hunt you down and come back to you. This is what we all learnt from this beautiful movie. The movie tells us clearly that even if you want to change the location, the lifestyle, the people you are surrounded with and everything that reminded you of the love life you had, you can’t escape it without having put an end to it. If you love the person truly, in some form the love will find its way back into your heart.

Dil Dhadakne Do

This movie tells us that every heart has its own belief and beats differently. Everybody cannot narrow down to one opinion and settle on that. Each of us have different opinions, different life goals, different beliefs and different lives. So, let it go the way it goes. Who are you to judge another person’s beliefs? Every person is destined to walk in the path that God has created for him, so don’t try to spoil or judge that path for the other person. You have your path, so choose to walk straight without disrupting the other person’s mind or heart.

5Bajrangi Bhaijaan

Bajrangi Bhaijaan

There could have been so many times when you wanted to do something for someone, but ego and selfishness ruin it all. Humanity always exists in every person. This movie teaches that you can’t help everyone, but everyone can help that ‘someone’. The movie portrays that you can buy everything with money like materialistic stuff and it satisfies you. Does it give you happiness?

6Drishyam

Drishyam

Family is a something that is always close to our heart and we can’t break that bond, no matter what. Even if the police or law tries to split the family, it is a man’s duty to stand by his family and protect them from the harmful people and laws. This movie portrays that even if a layman comes up with all kinds of tricks to save his innocent family, no one should or can judge because he is doing that for the family and to protect his and his beloved family’s life.

7Talvar

Talvar

This movie is a clear slap in everyone’s face. The movie is a clear depiction of what happened in a family and how well the Indian police and the Indian law framed its own statements. Involving a 14 year old girl, the movie was an adaptation of real life incidents and how justice is either delayed or totally denied by the Indian Govt. With every passing day, the justice is crushed and our common people start giving up on the Indian laws and its actions towards the right criminals. Whether it is the Talvar case or the Nirbhaya case!

8Bajirao Mastani

Bajirao Mastani

This movie is an amazing interpretation of how if love is not accepted amongst people in real life, is accepted by the gods in the heaven. Every love that is meant to be may or may not end smoothly. This movie portrays that the love that doesn’t end smoothly in real life can take its toll in the heaven where gods will appreciate your love and be blessed in the heavens.

Overall, Bollywood movies have proven that they can even adapt the screenplay into their movies and not just some random concept. So, let us wait and see what the Bollywood directors have to offer all of us in 2016.
