The wedding ceremony was in Villa del Balbianello, Lake Como in Italy. Their wedding was an epic conjunction of Konkani and Sindhi customs. The rituals and traditions were followed the two customs of both bride and groom sides. It was two days of the wedding ceremony with different outfits for two days.

The wedding outfits were designed by none other than Sabyasachi. As Sabyasachi is popularly known for his bridal outfits and ornaments, it was all soaked in tradition. The vibrant colours are definitely an energetic vibe of the couple’s new innings.

Deepika is a model of Sabyasachi for his lovely outfits and jewellery. The designer showed the example of a regal bride with his traditional designs. The colours made of the outfit for a Konkani wedding, of the bride are orange and gold colour. The much-preferred colours and shades for a South Indian bride. The saree worn by Deepika is of pure kanjeevaram silk and no wonder she looked more than the seen and known Diva. The enlarged maang tikka with pearls and stones, heavy jumkhas and the intricate neck choker are head-turning ornaments Deepika wore. The most important ornament for a bride is raani haar and our Bollywood new bride didn’t miss wearing it. She just wore the veil by covering her head as every bride does.

If you notice her dupatta which covered her head, it has a shloka written “Sada Soubhagyavati Bhava”. That is a true blessing every bride needs! The bride made her look for the day with a vibrant red lehenga with heavy golden border. Her hands were filled with full of Indian mehndi designs. She accessorized following the Sindhi traditions, wearing chooda and kalira.
